How to Plan Your Wedding without all the Stress

Getting married can be very stressful. Our hope is to create a resource for brides which will help to eliminate some unncessarily stresses. A few simple tips should make your wedding plans more fun and memorable -- without all the stress.

1. Delegate, delegate, delegate! Your family and friends should be willing to help and most will feel honored if you ask them to participate. Brides can manage and plan their dream wedding, without having to do everything themselves. All you have to do is ask for help, and then allow your family and friends to help you. You'll enjoy your wedding much more if you know how much love has gone into every step.

2. Plan. If you can organize things well before your wedding day, you can enjoy yourself as time gets closer -- knowing everything is under control. There will still be small details to deal with but the more organized you can be -- the better you will feel.

3. Use a wedding planner. (You don't necessarily have to hire a wedding coordinator, but a wedding planner organizer will be invaluable. You can easily keep track of who is in charge of what tasks, store contracts, photographs, ideas, and more. If it's written down in your wedding planner -- you shouldn't forget anything.

4. Spend time with your fiance. Not just talking about the wedding. Of course it is important to plan together -- but make sure you keep the romance alive by taking time away from wedding plans to just enjoy each other. This is the beginning of your lives together, so make sure to nurture each other.

5. Expect the unexpected -- and don't expect things to be perfect. Your day will be memorable and beautiful. You will spend time with those you love and those who love you -- celebrate and laugh off little imperfections. In the long run, the whole idea is that YOU ARE GETTING MARRIED!!! Focus on the good things during the day and relax -- if something goes wrong, it's not the end of the world.

6. Enjoy yourself. Brides sometimes get caught up in the planning and forget about the actual meaning behind the event. Once the wedding is over, you will never get back that time. You can spend it being stressed out -- or you can try to enjoy the process. Take a deep breath. Get a massage. Visualize everything going smoothly. Then smile and remember -- you are a beautiful bride -- enjoy as much as you can!
